Csilla Baloghné Csávás is one of the defining professional figures behind the Kecskeméti Tenisz Akadémia, bringing more than a decade of competitive and coaching experience to the development of young players. “For me, tennis is not just a sport, but a way of life that I want to pass on to children”, she says.
As a competitive player, she spent 14 years actively competing and achieved numerous outstanding results, including multiple county, regional, and countryside championship titles. At just 16 years old, she earned 3rd place at the Hungarian National Championship. As an adult, she competed as a first-division player and served as both the leading player and team captain of Kecskemét’s OB I team.
Her coaching career has been defined by continuous professional growth and further education. She currently works at both the Kecskeméti Tenisz Akadémia and the Kecskemét Teddy Tennis Academy.
She primarily works with preschool-aged children and participants in the Play and Stay program. For her, it is essential that children learn the fundamentals through playful, positive experiences: “If they fall in love with movement and tennis, we’ve already won half the battle.”
Soma Csomák is a dedicated coach at the Kecskeméti Tenisz Akadémia, drawing from his own competitive experience to support and guide his players. “I know exactly what young athletes go through on the court – and beyond it.”
His sporting journey began early: he picked up a tennis racket at the age of 10, after spending four years as a competitive swimmer. This diverse athletic background continues to shape his coaching philosophy today, with a strong emphasis on endurance, discipline, and mental resilience.
From the age of 14, he trained in Budapest under renowned coaches János Simara and Péter Kisantal, where he further developed his game at a high level. Later, as a player for Idom Team SE, he achieved some of his best competitive results, earning multiple podium finishes at national junior championships and securing a place in the national team squad at just 17 years old. He competed for years as a first-division adult player, and his best achievement was reaching 16th place in the Hungarian adult rankings.
As a coach, his goal is not only to help players improve technically, but also to build strong, confident mindsets: “Tennis is often decided on the court – but even more often in the mind.”
Szilárd Lovas is a highly experienced coach with decades of expertise, working at the Kecskeméti Tenisz Akadémia and supporting players at every stage of their development. “There are no shortcuts in tennis – and that’s exactly what makes it beautiful,” he says.
He began playing tennis at the age of 8 and quickly rose to the top ranks of his age group. As a competitive player, he regularly participated in regional and national championships, as well as team competitions representing Újhídy SE. One of the defining highlights of his career was serving as a training partner for Ágnes Szávay during her preparation.
To this day, he remains an active competitor, playing in Hungary’s OB II league for MozGo Egyesület while also regularly competing in domestic adult tournaments. He also gained valuable international experience in Austria, where he spent six years working as both a coach and player.
Among his students are highly successful athletes such as Melinda Bíró, who won Hungarian championship titles in every age category. As a coach, Szilárd focuses on strong fundamentals and steady, long-term progress: “The goal isn’t to become great quickly – it’s to stay great in the long run.”
Balázs Tóth has been an active and dedicated part of the tennis world for 25 years. He was introduced to the sport at the age of 6 through his father, who was not only a tennis player himself but remains an active coach to this day. His father was both a role model and the person who inspired his love for tennis, setting him on the path that continues to shape his life.
Today, Balázs competes in Hungary’s OB II league and is also proud to hold the title of Hungarian Senior Doubles Champion.
He now channels his extensive experience and knowledge into helping others develop their game. His goal is to support recreational players in improving their skills while also inspiring younger generations to discover and love the sport. Teaching children and passing on his passion for tennis are especially important to him: “What matters most is that everyone can develop at their own level.”
